Social media is an integral part of our lives today and will only become more prevalent. We recognize the need to be constantly connected and sharing using multiple social media channels available today and in the future. Social media is a powerful tool, and you can leverage it for greater outcomes. The benefits of leveraging it are immense.

This landscape allows KPIT employees to connect with clients, colleagues, families, and friends. While it offers many opportunities for expression, it also comes with specific responsibilities. While we encourage constructive use of social media, please be mindful that you also act as a brand ambassador when you share things on social media.

This document outlays KPIT Technologies guidelines on how every KPIT employee can leverage social-media channels while observing a few simple guidelines.

DECLARE ASSOCIATION WITH KPIT

(on Social Media Channels used for talking about the world of mobility, technology, and careers)

  • During your tenure at KPIT, please tell the world you are with KPIT. This is mainly on channels where you actively engage on topics concerning KPIT ( mobility, technology, careers, your work, etc.)

  • On channels or on posts that are purely personal, there is no need for this declaration
  • Please do not create social media handles or profiles with KPIT included in the name. Use appropriate fields for declaring you are a KPITian
  • Alternatively, you can use the hashtag #KPITian #ReimaginingMobilitywithYOU to declare your association and can also add @KPIT to tag us.

DISTINGUISH BETWEEN PERSONAL OPINION VS COMPANY OPINION

  • When you share your views on social media pages concerning KPIT (mobility, technology, trends, careers, people, policies), please declare that it’s your personal opinion. You can use a simple disclaimer: “view expressed are personal”

FOCUS ON POSITIVE COMMUNICATION WHICH HELPS BUILD THE BRAND

  • Assume that clients, candidates, investors, employees, partners, families, and friends see your communication on social media. Use your best judgment and focus on positive communication.
  • There is zero tolerance for foul language, derogatory remarks, hate speech, competitor or individual abuse or discrimination while communicating on topics related to KPIT.
  • Local law of land can come into force if the content posted or promoted by you is found to be in violation. Please be cognizant of the same.
  • You are liable for any consequences arriving out of the activity on your social media. As much as its important to what you post, your responses and replies play an equal part in it. Be mindful of what your actions are and exercise caution.

BUILD BRAND KPIT

  • If you communicate using information and access made available because of your role at KPIT, ensure you are building Brand KPIT.
  • Ensure KPIT company interests are protected.
  • Evaluate client conflicts, opinion conflicts, and policy conflicts before posting on social media.
  • If you are still determining if your view may conflict with that of KPIT, always check with the marketing team once. In case of doubt, please ask. Don’t assume anything.
  • Special note for KPITians who are Designated Persons, Leadership (VP and Above) or Members of the Executive Board, or Member of the Board:
    1. There are certain guidelines from SEBI (Securities and Exchanges Board of India) that necessitate listed entities and their key leadership to watch for their communication. Announcements that may have a material impact (including but not limited to unpublished price sensitive information ) on the organization and thereby impact the stock price.
    2. Your opinion (despite being called out as a Personal Opinion) may be interpreted as the organisation's stance. KPITians who hold these positions need to exercise further caution in this regard.
